I've been working super diligently on my Elsa cosplay.  For updates please follow me on facebook: www.facebook.com/CosmicEmpress

One of the most important parts of a cosplay is the wig.  A bad wig can ruin all your great work.  So please think carefully on what you are going to do for the wig.  For this one I wanted a wig that would be as nice as the cosplay I'm making so I commissioned one.

If you are working on your own  Elsa(or any cosplay) please consider commissioning :iconsupernovadobe: for a wig.  You can watch this tutorial to see how awesome her work is:

She also does all the other characters(for anything, ever).  So if you are looking for someone to make a wig please contact her.

Oh my goodness, I can't wait to see how you do this one.  I admit, I followed you because of the Trixie cosplay, but each one I've seen since then.. hooo boy, lots of awesomeness. Keep being excellent!

Waaaayyy.. thanks!  Trixie was a cosplay I thought would be uber easy.. like finish in a week.. 2 months later... HAHAHA... Buy I super love my cape.  I think it was worth every brush stroke to paint in those stars.

Elsa is being like that too.  I thought.. Easy jsut get some of that large square sequin fabric.  Sew up a top and a skirt... ...NOPE.. "you can't find fabric like that anywhere."  I went fabric hunting in Utah while hanging with my mom.  I showed one of the smaller fabrics stores clerc the Elsa bodice referance picture and she told me that quote.  Anyways.. turns out she was pretty much right from what I can tell.  She also told me that I'd have to sew on sequins... BOOOO... 150 hrs later.. I'm almost done.  Haha.. I know a lot of people are gluing the pieces on and I'm going to have to glue some.. I just.. hate glue....   So yeah...

I have another pony project in the works too!  I hope you like that one as well.

Oh I'm sure I will! :>

I know how it is with vastly underestimating how long it would take for doing a cosplay. I'm nowhere near as talented at making stuff, but I figured one day (a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away) that I wanted to cosplay as The Wonder Chef, from the game Tales of Symphonia. I mean, hell, the outfit was just a regular chef outfit in green and white with a red stripe, a chef hat, boots, and a spiffy red cape. Being a terrible person with a sewing machine (I can do only basic stuff), I ended up ordering two chef coats of different colors, and ripped them apart before putting them together in the way I needed, found some boots, and then did a makeshift cape using some awesome red satin. And then... I had a friend make an uber-huge fork for me, as the main prop. I can tell you.. that was one hell of a workout, carrying that sucker around the convention hall, all day long.. :)

The second picture kinda sucks because it was at the end of the day, and I was looking completely beat, and I didn't realize my hat was sagging off to the side and the wig all over the place... Bah! :o

Understandable.  I try not to have props.. but sometimes you have to.
